2016

  • Amulet Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare sector, acquires Synteract Holdings Corporation
  • Synteract honored for second year in a row with CRO Leadership Award by Life Science Leader

2015

  • Synteract team members recognized for 5th consecutive year as industry’s most inspiring in PharmaVoice 100

2014

  • Achieved milestone of working in more than 60 countries

2013

  • Synteract acquired Harrison Clinical Research, a Munich-based full service CRO founded in 1987. The two CROs became Synteract, and combined operations to become top tier global service provider

2011

  • Synteract attained Rave Accredited Plus in Medidata channel partner program after achieving Rave Safety Gateway Accredited status in February 2011, enabling Synteract to provide the full suite of Medidata Rave® EDC and Clinical Data Management (CDM) services to clients
  • Wendel Barr, formerly COO of Covance, Inc., named CEO of Synteract

2010

  • Synteract ranked as one of top 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in San Diego County

2009

  • Synteract opened an office in Prague, Czech Republic; Synteract now has additional offices in Russia, Poland, Ukraine and Belgium

2007

  • Synteract opened an office in Research Triangle Park, NC to serve clients in the Eastern half of the United States

2005

  • Synteract implemented SynCapture®, proprietary EDC system that allows for multiple modes of data entry including web/fax/paper in one clinical trial

2004

  • By this time, Synteract is servicing trials in both Western and Central Eastern Europe from offices in Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Israel, Benelux, and the UK

2003

  • Synteract developed first CDISC-based clinical database for drug sponsor

2002

  • Synteract moved headquarters to a larger (85,000 sq ft) facility in Carlsbad, California

2001

  • Synteract added medical monitoring, safety and regulatory services

2000

  • Synteract opened office in Spain

1999

  • Synteract established both its clinical operations department and medical writing services in order to provide a full-service offering along with core data management and biostatistics

1995

  • Synteract founded and incorporated in Carlsbad, California, USA, focusing mainly on data management, biostatistics, and software services

1987

  • Harrison Clinical Research founded in Munich, Germany by Dr. Franciso Harrison
