Synteract Presents Webinar on Assessing the Competition in Rare Disease Clinical Trials: The Need for a Thorough Feasibility Strategy

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC– Feb. 20, 2020Synteract, an innovative CRO partnering with biotech and pharma companies to bring new medicines to market, will host a webinar on “Assessing the Competition in Rare Disease Clinical Trials: The Need for a Thorough Feasibility Strategy” on Tuesday, March 10 at 8 a.m. PST/11 a.m. EST/4 p.m. BST/5 p.m. CEST. While it is known by most drug developers that finding enough of the right patients for rare clinical trials is the biggest hurdle, it is not always due to lack of patient presence; rather, it may be the culmination of several key challenges. This webinar addresses those key challenges and explains how and why a robust, data-driven feasibility analysis is necessary.

Synteract speakers include Lisa Dilworth, VP, Strategic Development, Rare, Orphan and Pediatric Diseases, and Rachael Young, Associate Director, Feasibility. They will address unique questions and challenges inherent in rare trials, including understanding the diagnostic odyssey, competitive study and treatment landscape, and ability to operationalize at the global, regional, and site levels.

Dilworth says, “I don’t think we can stress enough the importance of ongoing, real-time monitoring of the approved drug market and competitive trial landscape. Not being fully informed poses much greater risk to developers of drugs that address rare diseases. We want to show them how to minimize risk and maximize their potential.

Attendees will learn:

  • Actionable insights pertaining to the reimbursement climate for approved drugs
  • How to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders
  • How to anticipate obstacles when conducting country and site level feasibility
  • Ways to accelerate enrollment and overall clinical trial participation

This webinar will provide an in-depth perspective from experts developing the most innovative feasibility strategies being applied to today’s rare diseases. Interested participants can confirm complimentary registration here.
